Joint Commission International (JCI) is dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of health care services around the globe. JCI’s uniform, high standards for patient care and safety focus on access to carem assessment of patients, infection control, patient and family rights, and education. Standards also address facility management and safety, staff qualifications, quality improvement, organisation leadership, and management of information.

Singapore Quality Class (SQC)

Launched in 1997, the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) is a scheme to recognise organisations that have attained a commendable level of performance in the journey to business excellence. The objective is to develop world-class organisations that are able to achieve sustainable high performance in productivity and quality. The framework used for business excellence is the proven Singapore Quality Award (SQA) framework. Members of the SQC are given focused assistance to guide them towards achieving world-class standards of business excellence. Over time, with continuous improvements through benchmarking and other SPRING Singapore assistance programmes, these SQC members should progress to become world-class organisations.

Green Mark Award

TTSH is the first hospital to clinch the Platinum Award in the 2006 Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark certification. The Green Mark Certification was developed by the BCA and supported by the National Environment Agency (NEA). It assesses buildings on their Energy and Water Conservation, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), Environmental Protection, Waste Minimisation, and Building Management and Operation.

Sporting Singapore Inspiration Awards – Gold

The Sporting Singapore Inspiration Awards (SSIA), which inaugurated in 2003, is organised by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) to honour individuals and organisations for their exemplary contribution towards sports promotion in Singapore, and for demonstrating passion and commitment in nurturing a sports culture.

Award winners are seen as community role models who inspire and motivate others to achieve greater heights in sports. They help create opportunities and platforms for sporting activities, connect with the community and celebrate the triumph of the human spirit through sports.

Work-Life Excellence Award

The Work – Life Excellence Award recognises successful employers for their commitment in helping employees harmonise work and personal needs through effective and innovative Work – Life Strategies.

Singapore Health Award

The Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health). TTSH received the Platinum Singapore HEALTH Award from the Health Promotion Board in October 2004. The Platinum Award was presented to TTSH for having achieved the Gold Award standard for three consecutive years.

Certified On-The-Job Training Centre
