Our logo

The logo is derived from the initials ‘tts’ of our hospital’s name, keeping our uniqueness as the only hospital named after a person – Mr Tan Tock Seng, our founder.
In line with our tradition of caring as well as our new direction as the health promoting hospital, the two ‘t’s represent two persons – the caregiver and care receiver. The linked ‘arms’ in the ‘t’s, and the two ‘heads’ depict a new era of partnership in health care, a sharing of responsibility between health care professionals and the patient community. The ‘s’ symbolises the doctor’s stethoscope and other aids used to provide the necessary care.
Brush strokes and the original burgundy colour are maintained in the body as the softer lines convey a sense of continued balance of our traditional caring spirit in the modern technological era.
