2009

Healthcare Humanity Award

In 2009, 9 TTSH staff were awarded the Healthcare Humanity Award (HHA). These awards – a continuing legacy of the Courage Award – recognize healthcare workers who have gone beyond the call of duty.

Our colleagues received their Healthcare Awards on 25 May 2009 from President S R Nathan. In their care and comfort to patients and the community, they have inspired their peers and colleagues with their passion and selfless spirit.

Excellent Service Award

A total of 438 TTSH staff received the Excellent Service Award (EXSA) in the presentation ceremony held at RELC Singapore on 24 November 2009. The EXSA award is a national award which recognizes staff who deliver outstanding customer service.

MOH Nurses’ Merit Award 2009

8 of our nursing colleagues were awarded the MOH Nurses’ Merit Award in 2009 at the Nurses’ Dinner and Dance for their dedication to the nursing profession and commitment to giving their best to our patients and the community.

National Day Awards

The Singapore National Day Awards recognizes various forms of merit and service to Singapore. In 2009, 1 of our staff received the Commendation Medal and 4 staff won the Efficiency Medal Awards.

2008

Healthcare Humanity Award

A total of 8 TTSH staff were awarded the Healthcare Humanity Award (HHA) in 2008. They have inspired their peers and colleagues with their passion and selfless spirit in their care and comfort to patients and the community.

Minister for Health Award

2 of our staff, who played a crucial role in ensuring public health safety, received the Minister for Health Award for their outstanding contributions in handling the Chikungunya outbreak in January 2008.

MOH Nurses’ Merit Award 2008

6 of our nursing colleagues were awarded the MOH Nurses’ Merit Award in 2008 at the Nurses’ Dinner and Dance for their dedication to the nursing profession and commitment to giving their best to our patients and the community.

National Day Awards

In 2008, 1 of our staff received the Commendation Medal and 3 staff won the Efficiency Medal Awards. These awards recognize the various forms of merit and service to Singapore.

Business Event Ambassador Award

Professor Feng Pao Hsii, Emeritus Consultant, Dept of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology received the Singapore Tourism Board's "Business Event Ambassador of the Year" on 2 Sept 08 in recognition of his role and efforts in bringing rheumatology meetings to Spore including one that attracted about 200 international rheumatologists, physicians and trainees.

Excellent Service Award 2008

110 of our staff received the Excellent Service Award (EXSA) in 2008 bagging 14 Stars, 29 Gold and 67 Silver awards.

May Day Model Workers Award 2008

3 staff were awarded the above award in recognition for their outstanding performance and attributes and values of being caring, passionate , working-people centric, trustworthy, strong, inclusive, innovative and enterprising on 10 May 08.

NHG Awards

In 2008, 2 of our staff received the NHG Outstanding Citizenship Award, a category under the NHG awards.
