The National Healthcare Group (NHG) celebrates its 10th anniversary by hosting three health carnivals at the People's Association (PA)'s One Community Walk. TTSH, a member of NHG, is supporting the carnivals by providing free health screening activities at the Walk.

The National Healthcare Group (NHG) turns 10 this year! Our anniversary theme, "Caring it Forward", encourages everyone to pass on good health practices they have learnt. Through this, we hope to build a community of empowered individuals who take charge of their own well-being and that of their loved ones.

Community Health Partner

To bring this message to the wider community, NHG is the official "Community Health Partner" for the People's Association (PA)'s inaugural One Community Walk on Sunday, 25 July 2010.

Singapore's biggest mass walking event

Set to be the biggest nationwide mass walking event, 85,000 participants will take strides together in support of the Youth Olympic Games. NHG will host health carnivals at three anchor destinations in the Central, Northwest and Southwest districts.

Free health screenings

As a member of NHG, TTSH will be supporting the health carnivals by offering free health screening activities:

  1. Wrist pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel finger pain and heel pain screening and counseling sessions by our specialists from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and our  occupational therapists
  2. CPR demonstrations by our nurses
  3. Smoking cessation counseling sessions by our pharmacists
  4. Stability and balance screening by our physiotherapists
  5. Cataracts and glaucoma screening by our specialists from the Department of Ophthalmology

When is it?

So come by on 25 July with your exercise gear and walking shoes, and find out more about healthy lifestyle habits at the same time!
