Clinical Fellowship

TTSH Urology is accredited by the Singapore Medical Council to host a Fellowship programme in Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery. The clinical fellowship is intended for International Medical Graduates who have completed Residency training in their home country and wish to gain further experience as a fellow. Salary for up to 12 months is provided to accepted fellows.
Objectives of the programme include:
- To train in the knowledge and skills of minimally invasive urologic surgical techniques, including laparoscopy and endoscopic procedures, for comprehensive urologic application.
- To train in the procedures of percutaneous and endoscopic management of lower urinary tract diseases, urolithiasis, ureteric obstruction and urothelial tumours.
- To train in the procedures of laparoscopic nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy, partial nephrectomy, pyeloplasty and other advanced laparoscopic applications.
- To expose the clinical fellow to the management of general urological conditions including open urological procedures, andrology and neuro-urology
- To train the clinical fellow in the preoperative decision making and postoperative management of patients, in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.
- To involve the clinical fellow in the continual medical education activities of the department.
