Patients, visitors and staff were all treated to a special event on Tuesday, 4th December 2007 when Grammy Award-winning international sensation Kitaro, visited TTSH. Recognized as one of the most respected composers and multi-instrumentalists in the world, Kitaro visited patients in the wards and handed each of them a gift that included a package of green tea and a copy of his latest album, The Journey of Ku-Kai Volume 3.
Concert tickets and autographed CDs were also given away at this event, which is a festive finale for the Art of Healing programme for 2007. Kitaro also held an utograph/photograph session in the Atrium and was treated to a private dinner in the Heritage Museum, where he was given a comprehensive overview of the hospital's illustrious history and tradition.
The multi-award winning musician, who has often said that his purpose is to heal the inner person, performed at the Singapore Indoor Stadium as part of his Love and Peace Tour 2007. |
