Major
lower limb amputation is a life changing event that can significantly impact an
individual’s physical function. Physiotherapists play a crucial role in the
rehabilitation journey of patients with major lower limb amputation. Therefore,
it is important for Physiotherapists to be able to assess, track and
prognosticate outcomes, set goals and implement management plans appropriately
in the care of major lower limb amputees.
With
the introduction of the National
One-Rehab framework,
physiotherapists will need to be familiar with prognostication for coding of
rehabilitation diagnostic group and be able to perform various outcome measures
for tracking of patient outcomes across the continuum of care. Therefore, this
full day workshop aims to equip physiotherapists across different clinical
settings with clinical reasoning and assessment skills required for
prognostication, perform common outcome measures, goal setting and
rehabilitation of major lower limb amputees.
