Chronic lower limb (LL) wounds are those that do not progress through the healing continuum in a timely manner, leading to loss of function, reduced quality of life and increased morbidity. Their management involves different levels of care which can be complex if not adequately coordinated.
Learning objectives:
- To create a better understanding of the management of chronic lower limb wounds in the acute and community settings, and the importance of trans-disciplinary care
- To explore how to tailor management to suit individual patients' psychosocial needs through an understanding of their lived experiences
