This workshop aims to provide an overview of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and strategies that are available for use, in consideration of patients with stroke. It equips Drs/Nurses/AHS Professionals with skills on how to communicate with patients who are using AAC and addresses some of the common challenges faced with this population. This workshop will also share the benefits and impact of using AAC in various key communication points e.g. Decision Making/ Discharge Planning.
