Considerations by the Multidisciplinary Team in Amputee Rehabilitation

Synopsis

Major lower limb amputations have a severe physical, mental and emotional impact on amputees, affecting their mobility, ADL performance and mental health. It is therefore crucial that their management is holistic and this is achieved through  the aid of a multi-disciplinary team. As we journey down the continuum of care for an amputee patient, clinicians need to understand the considerations that can affect an amputee’s prognosis.

This 3-part webinar series consists of lectures and case studies, presented by the multidisciplinary team members who specialise in the area of Amputee Rehabilitation, to aid participants in the understanding of a multidisciplinary approach in caring for an amputee. This workshop also aims to provide participants with insight on how different members of the multidisciplinary team, prognosticate the ability of an amputee patient to use a prosthesis.

Furthermore, participants will get a chance to listen to a first-hand account of the rehab journey and challenges, shared by one of our amputee patients
