Considerations by the Multidisciplinary Team in Amputee Rehabilitation

The loss of a lower limb has severe effects on a person’s physical function, mobility, and ability to perform activities of daily living. As a result, this impacts negatively on their mental well being, social participation and integration. The goal of amputee rehabilitation is to help the amputees to regain their ambulation successfully with the use of a prosthesis and to re-integrate back into society. This webinar series aims to equip participants in gaining a broader persepctive of the amputee rehabilitation journey and the considerations for management of major lower limb amputees from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The lectures and case discussions will be conducted by a multidisciplinary team of trainers who are experts in the area of amputee rehabilitation.
