Project Carer Matters presents Caregiver Programs

Synopsis

Caregiving often involves time, commitment and sacrifice.

Project Carer Matters is an initiative by TTSH Nursing Service to build a training and support network for family caregivers of older adults. These sessions aim to help family caregivers to better manage their loved ones at home. Here are some programmes lined up this March 2021.

  • The CARERS program is adapted from Mount Sinai Hospital, Canada and specially tailored for family caregivers caring for persons with dementia. Caregivers will learn in-depth problem solving skills and practical approaches through simulation sessions in this 8-week program.
  • The Understanding Dementia and Self Care topics are single sessions, conducted online.
