FAQs on Internet Registration

  • 1. What is the purpose of internet registration?

    Internet registration offers visitors an alternative method to register their visit.

  • 2. Who is eligible for internet registration?

    Only Singaporeans, Permanent Residents and Singapore Work Permit holders are eligible for internet registration. Non citizen visitors are required to register at the service counters located at Level 1 and Basement 1, Lift Lobby A.

  • 3. Why can’t non-citizens register on the internet?

    The system is only able to identify local identification numbers as it works on a local database. Non-citizens are required to register personally at our registration counters located at Level 1 and Basement 1, Lift Lobby A with their passports.

  • 4. How does a visitor register on the internet?

    Visitors may register his/her visit online by following these steps:

    1. Click on Ward Visitor Online Registration page
    2. Key in the required information
    3. Click 'Submit' 
    4. A notification will be reflected upon successful registration

    If visitors are unable to register online successfully, he/she may proceed to the hospital’s registration counters for assistance.

  • 5. Do visitors have to register online daily?

    Registration is valid for the day and expires at 2359 hrs.

    Visitors may register themselves as Frequent Visitors by filling a Ward Visitor Pre-registration Form” throughout the patient’s stay.

    This form is available at the registration counters.

  • 6. What information is needed for internet registration?

     

    The following information is required for internet registration:

    Patient's information  

    1. Name as in identification card
    2. Ward
    3. Bed number

    Visitor's information 

    1. Name
    2. Identification number
    3. Mobile number
     
  • 7. Can children register online?

    Yes. Children can register online using their local student pass. Children without a local student pass are required to proceed to the registration counters for a printed registration label.

  • 8. What are the things to note for the visit?

    Visitors are encouraged to bring their identification cards for registration. Visiting hours for general wards are 12 to 8pm daily. Each patient has a quota of 4 visitors at any one time during the visiting hours.

  • 9. Why does the submission require patient’s name as in ID card, accurate ward and bed number (Eg. Ward 08A, Bed number 026)?

    This is to ensure that visitors are registered to the right patient.

    The submitted information must match the patient’s records in the Hospital’s database.

  • 10. What happens if the visitor is unable to recall the patient’s details (full name, ward and bed number)?

    The visitor may approach our Service Ambassadors located at our registration counters for assistance.

  • 11. What happens if the visitor registers via the internet but finds out upon his arrival, that there are already four visitors with the patient?

    In the event if a patient has reached his/her maximum visitor quota, the visitor will be placed on waitlist upon scanning his/her identification card at our gantries.

  • 12. How does the wait list notification work?

    When the maximum visiting quota for the patient has reached, visitors will receive an SMS notification to inform that he/she has been placed on the waitlist.

    Once the next visiting slot is available, visitors will receive another SMS notification to inform them to proceed to the gantry within 10 minutes.

  • 13. Why is a mobile number required for registration?

    Visitors will receive wait list notification alerts on their mobile phones when a visiting slot is available should they be placed on the wait list.

    It will also be used for contact tracing if the need arises.

  • 14. Who can visitor contact if they need assistance on the internet registration?

    Visitors may contact our Contact Centre for assistance at 6256 6011.

  • 15. Who can visitor contact if they wish to provide feedback on the internet registration?
