For years, 67-year-old Mr Mohamda struggled just to breathe. Living with chronic respiratory disease, he was in and out of the hospital up to 10 times a year. Simple daily tasks like eating and walking were almost impossible. What he needed was a CPAP machine that would help him breathe at night. But at over $2,000, it was beyond reach for the retired chef living on financial aid.
Thanks to the generosity of donors to TTSH Community Fund, Mr Mohamda finally received the machine he desperately needed. Now, he breathes easier, sleeps peacefully, and enjoys each new day with renewed strength and independence. His hospital visits have dropped to just twice a year.
