As a patient or a carer, please access our resources to learn more on eye conditions and our services. As a colleague in the ophthalmic industry, you can connect with us for research opportunities and information.
NHGEI was founded in 2001 and now comprises the eye departments of Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) and the upcoming Woodlands Health (WH). Together we serve the eye needs of the central and northern regions of Singapore.
Our vision is to improve the quality of life for the communities we serve, through the transformation of the eye care landscape.
We are honoured to be recognised for some of our key innovations and platforms that we have co-created so far. In particular, we have been conferred the TTSH Milestone Award for our Community Eye Clinic (CEC), Stable Eye Condition Clinics (SEC-C) and Tele-Ophthalmology services, as well as the National Medical Excellence Award for our co-steering role in the Singapore Integrated Diabetic Retinopathy Programme (SiDRP).
We are also strong advocates for research advancements and collaboration with various organisations such as Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI), National University of Singapore (NUS), National Technological University (NTU), Lee Kong Chian (LKC) School of Medicine, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and beyond. In addition, we collaborate with industry allies to design, develop and test new eye care technology innovations.
As a collective, the three eye departments in NHGEI will continue to evolve to facilitate inter-department cross-accreditation and cross-sharing of expertise, support for medical education and training, with a strong focus on research and innovations that enhance the quality of eye-care. We will build networks that extend top-quality primary and tertiary ophthalmology into the community and beyond our shores.
NHGEI is committed to adding years of healthy living to all our patients and the communities we serve, by adding years of healthy vision.
Delivering the finest quality eye care with skill, compassion and an emphasis on training & research.
