Biodata

​A/Prof Lim Yick Hou serves as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He holds concurrent appointments as Associate Professor at both the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS).

A/Prof Lim completed his specialist training in respiratory and internal medicine in the United Kingdom. He has a doctorate in medicine (MD) awarded at a higher degree from the University of Glasgow, UK. He is an accomplished respiratory physician and researcher with expertise in bronchiectasis, pulmonary infection, asthma, COPD, non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) pulmonary disease, lung function modelling and pulmonary aspergillosis. He was awarded the NHG Health Research Award for advancing management and treatment of bronchiectasis. He leads both the Bronchiectasis Care Programme and the Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) Service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

He serves as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on multiple research grants, including those awarded by the National Research Foundation (NRF). His research focuses on epidemiology, clinical outcome prediction, innovation in medical technology, and novel drug discovery.

A/Prof Lim is the principal lead for respiratory medicine at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU, and has strong passion for medical education. He has also contributed his expertise to various committees within the Ministry of Health.​
