The Core REsuscitative Skills Training (CREST) Course, is aimed at providing doctors with the necessary practical skills in managing critically ill patients. These skills include securing and managing the airway, chest tube insertion, and gaining vascular access (CVP and IA lines).
All these are done through a practical approach, emphasizing hands-on learning of practical skills and practical problems faced when managing these patients. The low participant to tutor ratio allows ample opportunities for hands-on practice, using specially designed mannequins, on procedures such as endotrachael intubation, surgical airway access, chest tube insertions, setting of CVP and IA lines.
This course is specially designed for junior doctors setting out to learn these procedures for the first time, and more senior doctors seeking to refresh these skills.
