Communicable Disease Centre 2 (CDC2), once known as the 'New Ward Blocks' in the 1950s, can be transformed into isolation wards in the event of an outbreak.

It has seen the nation through outbreaks such as SARS, H1N1, Dengue and Chikungunia. In the battle against COVID-19, CDC2 became an isolation treatment facility.

A new chapter of service beckons for CDC2 as it accommodates the exciting expansion of Tan Tock Seng Hospital's (TTSH) ambulatory and hospital services. This is part of the HealthCity Novena development to make healthcare more enriching with new models of care. The aim is to empower patients to lead more meaningful lives in the community.
