The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), or LKCMedicine, was established on 29 October 2010.

It was named after philanthropist Dato Lee Kong Chian whose Lee Foundation made a landmark gift of $150 million to set up the school.

Learning at LKCMedicine is spread over two campuses – in Yunnan campus where the main NTU campus is located, and in Novena. The latter campus consists of two buildings, the Headquarters and the Clinical Sciences Building.

The HQ building was built in 1923 as the Straits Settlements Mandalay Road Hostel for senior medical students from King Edward VII College of Medicine. Conserved and reconstructed in 2012-13, it now stands as a modern heritage building while maintaining the historic features of the Palladian style building.

Fun fact: The Time Capsule placed there in August 2017
which will be opened in 2060 to reveal 30 contributory
items to LKCMedicine‘s establishment.
