Did you know that Tan Tock Seng Hospital's Foot Care and Limb Design Centre (FLC) is the birthplace of Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Podiatry services in Singapore?

In 1981, the Artificial Limb Centre was established and became the first in Singapore to offer Podiatry services in 1993. Today, FLC is the largest provider of Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) services in the country.

FLC's Prosthetists and Orthotists apply the latest technology to customise treatments for a range of limb and spine conditions, including 3D-printed orthoses and prostheses. The Podiatrists leverage leading 3D-imaging technology to make precise custom-made insoles.

The Prosthetists and Orthotists have been designing spinal braces and prosthetic sockets using Computer Aided Design (CAD) modelling since the early 2000s. Today, 3D scanners and printers enable the team to customise braces and prostheses, bringing better quality of life for patients.

Find out how we provide a ray of hope by improving mobility and quality of life for patients.
