Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) attended to their first COVID-19 patient on 24 January 2020. This time stamp marks the start of a long battle against the disease in Singapore.

Titled ‘Coming Together’, the COVID-19 sculpture is a tribute to every member of the TTSH-NCID family who stood bravely against the pandemic. Local sculptor Victor Tan’s trademark intricate weave of countless wires speaks of resilience and strength in unity.

Funded by kind donations from the community, the sculpture resonates with the strong duty of care that our healthcare workers and institutions are built on. It is a symbol of the courage and unity in public healthcare that continues to care and keep us safe always.

As you trace the details of the sculpture on the physical trail, take a moment to appreciate the sacrifices of healthcare workers who keep Singapore safe.
