In a live interview with Channel 8's Hello Singapore last night, Dr Yeo Pei Shan, Associate Consultant, Endocrinology, and one of TTSH World Diabetes Day Outstanding Caregiver awardees, Mr Poh Chin Kiong, shared about the challenges of caring for a diabetes patient, and the importance of family support. Mr Poh will be receiving this award this Saturday, 16 November at the TTSH World Diabetes Day commemoration, together with 9 other award recipients, who are Outstanding Caregivers and Inspirational Patients.
Mr Poh shared about his experience caring for his late mother and urged fellow caregivers to stay positive through their challenges. Dr Yeo spoke about the warning signs of diabetes to look out for, and how family members and caregivers can play their part in helping diabetics care for themselves.
