Centre for Advanced Rehabilitation Therapeutics (CART) is an outpatient rehabilitation centre that provides care for patients with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury or other neurological conditions. CART's Rehabilitation Programmes combine innovative robotics and virtual reality technologies with regular rehabilitation therapy. Aimed at achieving goal orientated and optimal outcomes for patients, the programmes are innovatively structured to increase patients' engagement in movement retraining through a fun and interactive way.



The centre provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and psychological services. Your doctor will refer you to the relevant allied health services based on your rehabilitation needs.
CART also undertakes research in rehabilitation to remain at the forefront of research-based care. You may be approached by the team to participate in these studies.

Centre for Geriatric Medicine

Cognition & Memory Disorders Service - Memory Clinic

The clinic is specialised for ambulant older persons (65 years and above) with memory and cognitive impairments. The assessments are conducted by a multi-disciplinary team comprising of the geriatrician and nurse clinician (Psychologist and Therapist, only where applicable).

Geriatric Assessment Clinic

The clinic provides comprehensive assessment of older persons (65 years and above) who have more than one geriatric syndromes or recent decline in the ability to perform activities of daily living. Geriatric rehabilitation services will also be provided to improve the elderly functions.

Falls & Balance Clinic

The clinic is where older persons (65 years and above) with recurrent falls and gait problems are assessed by a geriatrician, nurse clinician, physiotherapist and occupational therapist. The aim is to identify the causes of falls in the individual patient and develop a care plan to help prevent further falls.

Continence Clinic

The clinic offers evaluation and treatment of older female persons (65 years and above) with urinary incontinence.
