To keep our patients and visitors safe and healthy, the Real Time Location System (RTLS) is now available to ward visitors. This system is used to identify and trace location of individuals in real time within the building and the data collected is used for operational efficiency improvement and contact tracing purposes in the event of outbreaks and emergencies. Ward visitors who registered for the RTLS use during their visit will be identified for contact tracing purposes during outbreaks and emergencies. Do approach our ward registration counter staff for more info.

For visitors to Ward 5H, please register at ICH registration counters at Lobby A, Level 1, before proceeding to Dover Park Hospice via Lift Lobby C.
Tan Tock Seng Hospital is committed to providing a safe and accessible environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. To support this, the use of Personal Mobility Aids within hospital premises is regulated.
What are Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs)?
PMAs refer to wheelchairs, motorised wheelchairs, and mobility scooters (3 or more wheels with a seat) designed for individuals who are unable to walk or have walking difficulties.
What's NOT Allowed Indoors
Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) and Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs) are strictly prohibited indoors. This includes kick-scooters, electric scooters, hoverboards, unicycles, motorised bicycles, and large PMAs designed for multiple riders. Users must dismount and walk when inside hospital buildings.
Where can I use my PMA?
- Outpatient Areas - PMAs are allowed for use in outpatient clinic areas. Please show consideration for others when using your PMA around the hospital.
- Inpatient Areas - PMAs must be parked at designated ward-level parking bays and are not allowed at patient bedsides.
- Emergency Department - PMAs are allowed in the Emergency Department.
If you are scheduled for admission, you are strongly encouraged to arrange for your PMA to be brought home. If unable to do so, PMAs must be parked at designated ward-level parking bays.
Important Rules
For All Users:
- Speed limit: Please ride at walking speed of 5 km/hr for the safety of all patients, visitors and staff
- Parking: Please park your PMA at designated ward-level parking bays
For Patients Only:
- Charging: Charging of PMAs is allowed only for patients upon discharge with a 30-minute limit as a safety precaution. Charging must be done at designated charging areas around the hospital and is not permitted inside wards or at patient bedsides

For Visitors:
- Charging of PMAs is not allowed for visitors as a safety precaution
