Biodata

Adjunct Associate Professor Leong Cheng Nang graduated from National University of Singapore in 1998. He received his postgraduate training in radiation oncology at National University Hospital, Singapore and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia. Dr Leong currently practices as a senior consultant at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), with a special interest in stereotactic body radiation therapy, lung, gastrointestinal and liver, pancreatic and biliary (HPB) cancers.

After completing his training in stereotactic body radiation therapy in Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle and University of Colorado in Denver, United States of America, Dr Leong initiated and developed the Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Program in National University Cancer Institute, Singapore and NCIS@TTSH. He is the Course Director for the Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy Course and Workshop for the regional radiation oncologists.

Dr Leong is also a member of protem NHG Cancer Institute Committee, Clinical Lead for Radiation Oncology Services in NHG and Clinician Lead in NCIS@TTSH, responsible for the development and integration of radiation oncology services in the NHG cluster. He is also a visiting radiation oncology consultant to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Woodlands Health. He is a member of the Woodlands Health Oncology Committee.

He is also a strong advocate in patient safety and is the Co-Chair of TTSH Radiation Safety Committee.

Nationally, he is a member of the Medical Technology Advisory Committee (MTAC) and Senior Consultant to Crisis Strategy and Operations Group (CSOG) in Ministry of Health (MOH).
