Biodata

Dr Ng Ziqin is a Consultant with dual specialisation in Respiratory Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine. She manages a wide spectrum of respiratory diseases, with a particular interest in interstitial lung disease (ILD). She is actively involved in the multidisciplinary care of ILD patients, collaborating with specialists across disciplines to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatmentBeyond clinical care, Dr Ng is deeply committed to patient safety and quality improvement. She serves as the department's Quality Review Officer and holds multiple quality leadership roles, including membership in the Patient Safety Faculty and as Quality Administrative Chair. In these roles, she helps design and evaluate institutional safety initiatives, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and mentors colleagues in best practices for clinical safety.

Dr Ng is also a passionate medical educator. She is a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer, Content Expert, and Clinical Teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC). Her teaching philosophy emphasises experiential learning, critical thinking, and professionalism, bridging the gap between theory and practice. She has been recognised with multiple LKC Teaching Recognition Awards for her sustained excellence in teaching and mentorship.

In addition, Dr Ng is actively involved in research. She has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented her work at numerous international conferences. Through her academic contributions, she continues to advance evidence-based practice and foster a culture of inquiry among peers and trainees.

Throughout her career, Dr Ng has exemplified the integration of clinical excellence, research innovation, educational leadership, and quality-driven practice. Her clinical work, combined with her ongoing contributions to medical education and patient safety, reflects her dedication to improving patient outcomes, strengthening healthcare systems, and nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.​
