Biodata

Dr. Yong Enming is a consultant surgeon with the Vascular and Endovascular Service, Department of General Surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and concurrently Head of the Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory.

He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2010 and obtained the post graduate diploma MRCS in 2013, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Following this, he underwent surgical training with National Healthcare Group, completing a five-year residency in General Surgery. He obtained his Master of Medicine in Surgery from his alma mater and Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France in 2017.

He is accredited as a specialist general surgeon by the Ministry of Health, having passed the Joint Specialty Fellowship Examinations in General Surgery in 2018, exiting as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was subsequently awarded the Healthcare Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship and spent a year as a Senior Clinical Fellow in London to complete further vascular subspecialty training at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

He is a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgeons (FEBVS) and is credentialed with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) for vascular ultrasound. He is also board certified by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP).

Dr. Yong has clinical interests in wounds, diabetic limb salvage and the management of chronic venous insufficiency. He is a member of the International Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons, Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgeons of Singapore (SVESS) and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound (SEA). He is a clinical lecturer at our local medical schools (Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine) and received the NHG Teaching Award for Junior Doctors in 2018. He is actively involved in research and has additional interests in innovation and operations management. He holds a Master of Business Administration jointly conferred by IE Business School (Spain) and Singapore Management University. He was awarded the IE Foundation Scholarship, and invited to be in the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honour Society for academic excellence during the program.
