Physiotherapy in Metabolic Health: An Integrated Approach to Obesity, Diabetes and Osteoporosis Management

Synopsis

Metabolic conditions like diabetes, obesity, and osteoporosis are rising globally, requiring physiotherapists to manage increasingly complex physical implications. These conditions significantly impact mobility, cardiovascular health and quality of life, making effective physiotherapy interventions crucial for patient outcomes. This course empowers physiotherapists with evidence-based strategies for managing metabolic conditions through targeted exercise prescription and lifestyle modifications. Participants will master advanced clinical assessment techniques and learn to design personalised exercise programmes for various metabolic profiles. The programme focuses on practical applications, combining the latest research with hands-on skills development. Participants will also learn effective strategies for patient adherence and behaviour change, enabling them to create sustainable interventions that improve physical function and metabolic health.
