The General Gastroenterology service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital provides comprehensive care for patients with various digestive system conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Our experienced team evaluates, diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the digestive tract as well as disorders of the liver, gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreas.

Our service specializes in managing a wide range of conditions.

  1. Upper Gastrointestinal conditions: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Dysphagia, Peptic ulcer disease, Helicobacter pylori management
  2. Lower Gastrointestinal conditions: Chronic diarrhea or constipation, Diverticular disease, Irritable bowel syndrome
  3. Screening and surveillance: Barrett's oesophagus, Gastric intestinal metaplasia, Colorectal cancer screening, Colonic polyp surveillance
  4. Gastrointestinal bleeding
  5. Liver-related conditions: Abnormal liver function tests, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Metabolic-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), Liver cirrhosis management
  6. Pancreatobiliary conditions: Acute and chronic pancreatitis, Gallstones and biliary colic, Pancreatic cysts

Our diagnostic and therapeutic services include:

  • Oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGD) for upper gastrointestinal examination
