Overview
The goal of the Neurogastroenterology and Motility Unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital is to improve the evaluation and care of patients with gastro-esophageal reflux disease, gastrointestinal (GI) motility conditions and Disorders of Gut Brain Interaction. The Neurogastroenterology outpatient clinic sees patients who have complex GI motility or functional conditions such as Achalasia, Gastroparesis, Functional Dyspepsia and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. We work closely with a range of allied health professionals including motility nurses, dietitians, psychologists, speech therapists and pelvic floor physiotherapists, with the aim of providing wholistic care for our patients.
Our GI motility lab offers the following investigation tests:
- High resolution esophageal manometry
- 24 hour pH and impedance ambulatory study
- High resolution anorectal manometry
- BRAVO wireless pH testing
- Endoflip procedure
