Overview
The department is an active contributor to the training of local and regional urologists through the organisation of conferences and workshops.
Our high surgical volume, coupled with the strong culture of teaching, has seen our department become a centre for urologists from regional countries wishing to observe latest techniques. Fellowship programs are due to open in the near future for application.
We are a training site for the National Healthcare Group residency programme with dedicated faculty and a robust educational program, with motivated Residents aiming to provide the best possible care for our patients.
We are also involved in the education of medical students both from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC-SOM) and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLL-SOM). We take pride in being a teaching hospital and our doctors are involved in imparting knowledge to the students via didactic lectures and bedside tutorials. Our doctors are involved in setting the curriculum for the undergraduates and are routinely involved as examiners for the 2 prestigious medical schools.
