The demands of caregiving could result in caregiver burnout.

Support Groups

Caregiver support groups gather caregivers like you to support one another through the journey.

You will be able to share your problems, listen to others and gain useful tips, knowledge and support from caregivers who may have similar experiences. It is an opportunity for you to get help and also help other caregivers in a safe environment.

Caregiver support groups can be:

  • Delivered online or face-to-face
  • General or disease-specific

To find support groups, you may want to speak to a medical social worker or search them online.


Counselling can help you to understand and cope with the challenges of caregiving.

It is conducted:

  • One-to-one
  • Face-to-face or online with a professional.
