Course Description

Originally developed by Prof Charles Gomersall and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), this international course conducted by intensivists, anaesthesiologists and respiratory physicians has been adopted by ICUs in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Europe, United Kingdom and India to equip doctors starting out in ICU and doctors who care for critically ill patients with the requisite skills and knowledge. It is endorsed and promoted in Europe by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM).

Target Audiences

ICU preparatory course for junior doctors and ICU nurses. Participants are expected to have read the eManual, watched the online eLecture videos and completed the online MCQ test prior to attending the course. Participant number is limited.

Course Policy

Registration is only confirmed after course payment.

Participants are expected to have read the eManual, watched the online eLecture videos and completed the online MCQ test prior to attending the course. Successful completion of the course is dependent on completion of the pre-course MCQ test and eLecture videos, attendance at all lectures and workstations, passing the post-course MCQ test and completion of course evaluation forms.

Any cancellation must be notified to the organiser in writing. 10% administrative levy will apply to any course refunds. A 50% partial refund will be issued if the enrolment is cancelled between 3 and 6 weeks prior to the scheduled course date. No refund will be given if a course enrolment is cancelled within 3 weeks of the scheduled course date.

Course is subject to a minimum participant number before course commencement. The organiser reserves the right to cancel the course should unforeseen circumstances necessitate it. Course organiser accepts no responsibilities for covering airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by the registrant.
