​After graduating from University of Melbourne (Australia), including a year of research for his B Med Sci at National Taiwan University Hospital, Dr Lo completed his General Surgical training as the inaugural resident at NHG-AHPL General Surgery Residency Program and as the inaugural President of the Residents’ Council.
He subsequently undertook a year of Vascular and Endovascular fellowship at Tan Tock Seng Hospital before completing another year of fellowship in United Kingdom, training at both Leeds General Infirmary and St Thomas Hospital (London). He had also completed a visiting fellowship at Kings College Hospital Diabetic Foot Clinic (London).

He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), Academy of Medicine Singapore and International College of Surgeons and an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He sits on the board of the Chapter of General Surgeons, College of Surgeons (Singapore). He is appointed as clinical lecturers for NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and has won multiple teaching awards.

He is very active in Vascular research, with research interests in wound care, Artificial Intelligence and iliac venous disease. To date, he has received more than $500,000 in dedicated research grants to TTSH, co-authored 25 publications, reviewed for 13 journals and is on the editorial board of 5 journals.
