Biodata

Dr. Xu Chuanhui is an associate consultant in the Department of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In 2012, he completed a collaborative M.D./Ph.D. program, earning his M.D. from Peking University, China, and his Ph.D. from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Since relocating to Singapore in 2014, Dr. Xu has achieved Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP, UK) in 2016 and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) in 2022. During his rheumatology training (Clinician-Scientist track), he was acknowledged with the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award 2020 from the National Medical Research Council (NMRC).

With a committed focus on research, Dr Xu has a good track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and successfully obtained several competitive research grants. He is actively involved in the national and international scientific community. He actively participates in the national and international scientific community. He contributes as a member of the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) rheumatoid arthritis special interest group, the APLAR Young Rheumatologist Board, and Asia Pacific Lupus Collaboration. Additionally, he is involved in various committees that focus on the development of guidelines and recommendations for managing rheumatic diseases. He is the co-investigator of several international clinical trials.

He holds teaching appointments at both Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (National University of Singapore) and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (Nanyang Technological University of Singapore), actively contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Additionally, he is involved in improving patient care quality as the department's quality review officer.​​
