This workshop aims to:

  • Provide participants with an overview of various communication and swallowing difficulties that can occur
  • Improve carers' understanding and management of dysphagia including swallowing strategies, identifying and preparing correct modified consistencies
  • Share communication strategies to improve communication effectiveness with residents
