Our Roots
The Tan Tock Seng Hospital Heritage

Founded in 1844 by Mr Tan Tock Seng, TTSH was first known as the Chinese Pauper’s Hospital. Mr Tan made a call for the hospital to care not only the Chinese, but also the "sick poor of all nations", this marks the start to the People’s Hospital of Singapore.
