Introduction to Palliative Care Services

The TTSH Palliative Care Services is about caring for patients with life-challenging illness (e.g. cancer, advanced end-stage organ diseases) and providing support to patient and their family to deal with stress arising from the illness and improving patient's quality of life.

Palliative Care Services comprise of interdisciplinary team of palliative physicians, Advance Practice Nurse, Nurse Clinicians, Medical Social Workers, Pharmacists and Dieticians are consult members. We provide in-patient and out-patient consultancy services.

Our Services Include:

  1. Management of pain and symptoms
  2. Psychological, emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family
  3. Grief and bereavement support and counselling
  4. Maintaining care continuity as the patient moves from hospital to home or to other institutions of care (e.g. hospice)
