Lian Xia
Lian Xia is an Advanced Practice Nurse with the Department of Endocrinology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She holds a Master of Nursing from the National University of Singapore and received specialist training in diabetes care at Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School. She is a certified collaborative prescribing practitioner since 2018.
She manages patients with complex diabetes, with a focus on using technology such as Continuous Glucose Monitoring, insulin pumps, and telehealth to enhance care. Her research in this area has been published both locally and internationally.
Ms Lian is actively involved in diabetes education and training across schools, hospitals, and the community. She is a member of ADES, SASO, and EMSS. She also serves as a clinical co-preceptor for nursing students from the Alice Lee Centre and as a clinical facilitator for medical students from Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
