​​​​​Quek Poh Seo

Ms Quek Poh Seo is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with the Department of Respiratory Medicine. She became a Registered Nurse in 1986, earned her Bachelor of Nursing in 1999, and was among the first cohort to graduate with a Master of Nursing from the National University of Singapore in 2004. She has worked extensively in intensive care and respiratory medicine since 1991, becoming an APN in 2005. Miss Quek has managed patients with a wide range of lung conditions, including asthma, COPD, sleep breathing disorders, and chronic cough. She helped establish the non-invasive ventilation unit, the Home Ventilation and Respiratory Support Service and contributed to the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. She also develops patient education materials and supports clinical education as a faculty member at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and a clinical preceptor for nursing students. She currently serves on the hospital’s Supply Review Committee.

Wang Xiaona

Ms​ Wang Xiaona is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with the Department of Respiratory Medicine. She began her nursing career in 2006 after graduating from Nany​ang Polytechnic and later obtained her Master of Nursing from the National University of Singapore in 2013 under the HMDP scholarship. She became a full-fledged APN in 2016 and received collaborative prescribing rights in 2018.

With a background in neuroscience nursing, Ms Wang now manages patients with respiratory conditions, including complex pleural diseases. Her work includes administering intrapleural medications and managing ambulatory chest drains. She has received multiple service (2008, 2009) and humanitarian awards (2011) in recognition of her dedication.

Ms Wang is actively involved in research and quality improvement. She was recognised at the 2019 Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress and serves on several committees, including the TARIPH Patient Network Steering Committee, Hospital Tracheostomy Workgroup, and the APN prescribing audit team. Passionate about education, she regularly lectures at universities, sharing her expertise with nursing and medical students.
